Enjoy the homely welcoming ambience of our visitors cottage in the grounds of Chauvel Park. From the minute you walk through the gate, this comfortable and friendly space will make you feel at home and relaxed. With easy access off the Bruxner Highway on the edge of the small village of Tabulam this holiday stop-over has many pleasures to offer.

Set within a magical Heritage Garden, surrounded by a vista of rolling hills and green pastures on the banks of the Clarence River you can watch the most spectacular sunsets as you unwind from your journey and know the true peace country living can bring.
Completely private and self contained, with a child and pet safe yard there is nothing to worry about but sitting down in front of a welcoming fire set to greet you on arrival if you are staying in the colder months. The cottage comes supplied with a Breakfast Basket including the special treat of Sara's Home Made Bread!

If travelling with pets there is space for them to unwind too, be they large or small and a paddock next to the cottage will accommodate even the largest horse.

We can arrange canoeing for those adventurous souls, or if Tennis is your thing, the courts are 2 mins walk from Chauvel Park (Tennis Raquets and Balls provided on request), but if quiet contemplation is more your style then the garden provides a number of beautiful vistas and the bird-life is rich and friendly, you might also catch a glimpse of the resident possum and as you sit in your reverie you might just hear the feint neigh of horses and the clinking of bridles as the Light Horse muster in readiness, on the eve of their departure into the realms of War, Fame and History, for this the historic old property is the last vestige of the old 'Tabulam Station' once a huge land holding stretching beyond the Queensland border and later the Chauvel's breeding ground for the famous Light Horse.

Checkout the local activities and attractions if you wish to stay for more than one or two days. But, if a stop over is all you can manage then this is the perfect place to make it with ease, I'm sure it will make you wish you could stay even longer.
